Inaugural Meeting
Jan. 05
The inaugural meeting to initiate the group as a separate charitable organisation was held on the 14 th of January 2005 and the meeting was attended by a superb number of members.
The first chairperson Rene Plaxton explained that the aims of the café remain the same and that the café is open to everyone in Ulceby and the surrounding villages.
Apart from the basic aims, the café offers computer training, a light exercise programme; light refreshments each week with a cooked meal planned every month as well as the usual guest speakers on a range of topics, we also carry a large variety of informational leaflets.
If anyone has a special problem pass this to any one of the café volunteers and we will try to arrange for a guest to cover that problem or at least the minimum information necessary to help.
The café has access to transport for those people who have difficulty in attending the meetings and a collection can be arranged for those who require transport. To arrange to be collected and returned please phone either Ian on 588760 or Fred on 589863 and transport will be arranged.
The constitution as presented was proposed by Mrs Liz Drury and Mr Ron Casemore and seconded by Mrs Mary Cowan.
The motion to accept the constitution was unanimously accepted and the motion passed.
Many thanks to all who attended the meeting and copies of the constitution are available on request.
